Stanley’s Explosive Disorder.
Stanley is deeply affected with this disorder called Intermittent Explosive Disorder. Stanley’s behavior shows abundance of regrets aside of more aggression impulses. In many scenes, Stanley’s temper and actions shows a very big portion of assaultive acts and very destructive towards property. But always, after he does all of these foolishness acts he will become remorseful and regret so much he doesn’t know what to do with himself and he tends to feel very guilty. In our next paragraphs we will explain how he has this disorder and give you some information that happened in some scenes that will give you an ideal of this important fact.
There are many essential features for this Intermittent Explosive Disorder and there are many occurrences of discrete episodes of failure to resist aggression and results in many seriousness acts and destructiveness. To support this episode, in scene 3 (pg. 57) it was the night of a daily poker night with the guys. Stella was in the bathroom freshening up and Blanche and Mitch were conversing with one another. As Blanche was conversing with Mitch, Blanche tends to drift off and turns on the radio and Stanley becomes enraged and walks into the bedroom and fiercely and tosses it out the window. Stella became very offensive and Stanley became more enraged and charges after Stella wanting to hit her and as the guys tried to hold Stanley back Stanley forces him away from them and charges after Stella and strikes her without a care. Due to this supportive detail in this scene, Stanley became aggressive and very destructive over the minimal situation for no apparent reason. Within his strike he became remorseful, feels upset, was regretful so therefore, this very important situation supports the detail for this fact about this disorder.
Other essential features for Stanley intermittent Explosive Disorder have the person to behave with aggressive of the explosive behavior to preceded by the sense of tension or arousal is later is followed immediately by a sense of relief. To support this episodes, in scene 8(pg.107). blanch was taking a bath and Stanley and stella were fighting over whether they want blanch to stay or not. Blanch came out the bathroom feeling refreshed, stella and Stanley stop. They all sat at the table and eating then after they were done Stanley wasw about to clear to table then stella said “your face and your fingers are disgustinglygreasy. Go and wash up and then help me clear the table. Then Stanley hurls a plate to the floor . saying “this is how I clear the table.
An other essential feature of Intermittent Explosive Disorder is Diagnosis is a mental disorder for aggressive behavior and been ruled out show other disorder of Stanley behavoirs. In this episodes, in scene 10(pg.130)
